Ghosts of Girlfriends Past Review

The ending was quite BLAH. There has been more than one movie that I wished that the ending was not happy. And this is DEFINITELY one of them. Connor Mead is let off too easily…. I was quite disappointed. I actually was looking forward to the movie. But really, who am i kidding… I knew deep in my heart the movie was going to suck, yet I had to still go and watch it to confirm for myself instead of just listening to other people say that it was not that awesome..

Granted, there were certain funny moments, but there were also plenty of awkward moments. Conner Mead groping his brother’s mother-in-law is just weird. And I think Matthew McConaughey is getting really old. He is not as good looking as before. Michael Douglas IS really old and even his appearance felt really pointless. I loved Jennifer Garner but the role did not do her justice at all. She is so pretty.

The story is nothing new of course. Remix of the tale of scrooge and the three ghosts of christmas past, present and future. Instead there are NO ghosts. Except for Uncle Wayne. So, the title was so wrong in the first place. It is a typical Matthew McConaughey movie. Except he is fully clothed. Through the whole movie. Weird. The movie is just about him and all about him and it is just his vehicle.

I laughed at some jokes and just yawned through most of the rest. I really wished Jenny had married Brad instead of the jerk Conner. Conner should have ended up with his secretary, Melanie.

shy shy me

it is just so weird… on the one hand i am so excited to make new friends.. but i end up being really shy and not talking that much. must be the combined forces of not having slept the last night, 6 and half hours of class and live radio session that fatigued me so much.. i could not open my eyes that much. felt like they were barely slits letting me see enough that i don’t bump into things.

thank you deeno for inviting me. it was fun chatting with the guys although i don’t remember everyone’s name; shamil, aiman, adam, farihin, shahli and the rest… if i get anyone’s name wrong, well, no one will know besides me and them when i next see them. so i will worry about that the next time and focus on happy thoughts tonight.

i stayed up the whole of last night playing around with html and came up with the radio schedule for smu campus radio. it is so pretty. and this is all done by the guy who had no html training… ME! i am so proud of myself. now i am looking to revamp the campus radio portion of the website. and in the process learn more of this cryptic language that will cement me into geek culture.

but first i must get some sleep to pay off not getting any last night. did not read any news today. will have to catch up tomorrow. but i saw on channelnewsasia on tvmobile how the Feds is loaning money to AIG so that it can stop the world plunging into darkness.

money is a man creation. it is not natural. therefore, it will in the future be the downfall of mankind. many things will be our downfall, like technology and cars and ipods but why so pessimistic right? enjoy life while i still have breath in my body. and try not to destroy the world so much so that there will still be an earth for the unborn future to inherit.
